Dear Incoming Second Grader,

     Welcome to second grade! We hope you have a wonderful summer. We thought it would be helpful to let you know what supplies you will need for second grade:

·       2 highlighters

·       Scissors (Fiskars preferred)

·       1 large bottle of Elmer’s glue

·       6 glue sticks

·       2 packs washable markers

     -1 box thick, 1 box thin

·       1 box of crayons (no more than 48 colors

·       1 clipboard

·       1 pack of colored pencils

·       4 pre-cut tennis balls

·       1 box of wipes

·       2 packs pencils (sharpened)

·       small pencil sharpener (with an enclosed case)

·       1 large eraser

·       6 2-pocket folders

·       (NOT side pockets )

Colors Needed: 2 red, 2 blue, 

2 green, 2 yellow                 

·       1 picture folder of your choice

·       1 box of blue or black pens

·       6 Marble composition notebooks

·       1 small cubby box (should fit easily in desk)

 1 pkg of lined colored 3X5 index cards

PLEASE PROVIDE A BACKPACK FOR YOUR CHILD AND LABEL ALL SUPPLIES AND CLOTHING

Please label the supplies with your child’s name and class. Please try to have all of the items listed by the end of the first week of school. Additional supplies may be requested by individual teachers at a later date. We are looking forward to meeting you in September.
